I was super excited to be celebrating the 4th of July with my fellow American classmates. Byon, a nice student from Florida had envisioned a total "American" day so I decided to follow his lead.
The first stop on his list was to eat at the most famous American fast-food establishment "McDonalds" or as the French refer to it "MacDo's."

Next on the American to-do list was to go to the theater and see Terminator 5 (je pense). I flat out told Byron and Amber (a happy tagalong for la journée amèricaine) that I most definitely would not be able to handle a shoot em' up movie but that I would see something else. So I ended up seeing this horrible movie that was like set in the Renaissance or Baroque era with futuristic creatures. It was awful, hey but at least it was dubbed so it definitely enhanced my vocabulary.
The last event of the journée amèricaine was going to an American diner. The place that we ended up going to was called "Emily's diner." It was adorable, on the T.V.s they were playing Grease and the Dukes of Hassard. Throughout this dinner everyone seemed to share what they missed about America. I was unable to contribute because I absolutely love it here! I have to say I do miss seeing my friends but everything else here is far superior.
