As if things couldn't get much worse I woke up feeling slightly more confident and decided to buy some postcards at the Visitor's Center. Ok so I live next to this church which has some outdoor steps leading to Centre Ville (the center of town) and of course as luck would have it I took a devastating fall on the last step. All the people around were like "Ça va?" thankfully I was fine, I was super grateful at this point for all of the hard work I've done at the gym. So with a wounded pride and ankle I mustered up enough courage to make it over to the Visitor's Center where I tried to purchase some postcards. At that moment, at the register I was unable to find my credit cards and also the woman at the register told me that I was not able to pay in cash. Feeling super upset and audibly crying I rushed back to the steps that I had taken a devastating fall on and was unable to find my cards. Then looking in my purse I discovered that nothing was missing only a few brain cells on my part that were unable to identify that everything was alright. So later on that day I met up par hassard (by chance) I met up with this girl Amber from my program. I was so cynical at this point and virtually everything I said was super negative, so I'm sorry Amber:) I was lucky that we found this restaurant that was somewhat like a diner, so I was able to get a milkshake.
So after I had a milkshake with Amber somehow I was able to find my way home. Since I was able to identify that I was going through culture shock, I figured that the worst was over. As if? More negative events were to come, my threshold was starting to weaken but fortunately Michelle Risse is able to handle quite a bit!
So the last big event of the day was the task of doing my laundry. My RA came by and paid me a visit and told me that he had to catch up. I saw this huge bin of clothes thinking they all belonged to him, but later I found out that it was unclaimed laundry.
